Merrimack River Report > Forced out of the game.
Forced out of the game.

Oct 4, 2010

The fishing has been very good to slow which can be typical of fall. One day it was a nice mix of big bluefish to 12#s plus "school" to "keeper" size stripers and the next it was just a couple of big bluefish. Then we get a forced benching by the weather gods for 3-4 days! A good day of fishing and now five days of un-fishible water. Frankly the end is near but it is not here yet!!! I'm planning on being back on the water Friday, which might be a bit optimistic, and I am hoping for a great weather pattern to fish next week. There is still plenty of bait out front so I suspect the fish will stay around until it moves out.

Good fishing
