Last Saturday, as I was going offshore, my friends were hammering stripers in the river. Sunday I had to work for the bluefish and keeper bass I was able to put into the boat. Tuesday the stripers were probably there but between the dense fog and huge rollers coming into the mouth, they were safe from everyone. We did pick off a few big bluefish early and after the fog lifted manage some respectible numbers of blues. They do fight hard!
There is a lot of bait in the water and with the cooler nights there are going to be some epic surface feeds!
Good fishing
