It is Easter and I am reading about stripers being caught! Granted the fish closest to us are hold over fish but they have stripes and that is encouraging! I read a lot of posts and David Pickering from Rhode Island is very good. April 1st he was concerned about the cold March and thought it would slow down the migration north. On April 13th Dave had a "few" schoolies and that was only 2 days later than last years first catch. As of April 15th he is talking over 200 fish caught & released!!
Ron Powers wrote in his On The Water report , April 13, of mackerel caught in Salem MA!!
My boat is safely in my yard so I have nothing for personal info. Last year I caught schoolies on May 10th and that is only 3 1/2 weeks away!!!! I just want to put my boat together and go fishing!!!!!
Thank you to all of the folks who have been contacting me about the best times to go fishing and booking trips. This year is going to be great and June will be here quicker than we all believe!
